Repetition
Line and Repetition Photos
My best photo has to be the one where I am in the courtyard and the sun is cutting down on the side of the school like a knife through butter. This photo is taken straight upon and a little above, which makes it look like a 90 degree angle. I was about 20 to 25 feet away from the subject. My photo is horizontal, I believe it doesn't follow the rule of thirds because there is more subject than area around the subject itself. It is a example of pattern and texture, the bricks and the windows along with the reflection coming off of the windows which creates a deep aspect of the subject, along with the 3 - 2 - 3 aspect with the windows repeating. I believe my second photo is under exposed, but I did that so i could get as mush of the clouds as I could get. The bottom is too dark while the sky is a little to light for my liking. My fivth photo , which I believe is the most underexposed so again I could show the clouds because if I made the picture any darker I would of lost the clouds, so I should of made it a little lighter to really bring out the bricks in the old building. The fourth photo is the best photo in my repetition work I think it is the most descriptive of the school wall because I captured the clouds and the angle of the suns rays cutting down onto the school, it looks great and is the most properly exposed photo in my group.
